Welcome to my new food blog!

In this blog, I will tell you about some of my favorite, and least favorite, foods that I found in Las Cruces, surrounding areas and — if I travel, where ever I travel. I write about food a lot for work as a features reporter for the Las Cruces Sun-News. A lot of times I write about new restaurants, new menus and every week I write a "Delightful Dish," or, as I call it "Andi's Favorite Foods," for Pulse, our entertainment publication.

I also love making food porn; photos of food that make you drool and cheat on your diet. So be warned: don't let your partner catch you ogling while she's making her "special" macaroni pie for the third night in a row. You'll break the poor girl's heart.

I also like to cook a lot. I love it. I don't know when I started cooking, but my mom taught me most of everything I know. A lot of it came from trial and error too. (I remember I tried to amp up a regular batch of spaghetti by putting shredded apple in it when I was like 13 or 15. I thought it would be genius, just like on that old cooking show "Great Chefs of the World." Thankfully, you couldn't taste it one bit.)

I'm always trying new dishes, eating new foods and talking about it. So this is my blog. I do so much of this kind of stuff on Facebook anyways, I thought, "hey, I should start a blog."
